  1. It is an established fact that the days of running packed houses of MGR films were witnessed by both MGR and Sivaji fans. MGR rejected number of films since he was more particular to the spread out DMK party principles and his devotion and dedication to Perarignar Anna, which were went to Sivaji. The successful Hindi films remade into Tamil ie. Jigri Dosth – Mattukara Velan, Pehachan – Indru Pol Endrum Vazha, Do Ankean Bara Hath – Pallandu Vazhga, Hathi Mere Sathi – Nalla Neram, Phool aur Pathar – Oli Vizhakku, China Town – Kudiyirundha Kovil, Lootmar – Thirudathe, Sacha Joota – Ninaithathai Mudipavan, Yadhonki Barath – Nalai Namade were all successful run films.

Similarly, remade Hindi into Tamil by Sivaji ie. Aradhana – Sivakamiyin Selvan, Mother India – Punniya Bhoomi, Do Rasthe – Chitra Pournami, Jhonny Mera Nam – Raja, Khilona – Engiruntho vanthal, Upkar – Pazhani, Ganga Jamuna – Iru Duruvam, Milan – Praptham, Dushman – Needhi, Seetha aur Geetha – Vani Rani, Namak Haram – Unakaga Naan, etc. in which most of them are flops. In turn, Shivaji’s popular films remade to Hindi ie. Pasa malar – Rakhi, Pazhum pazhamum – Sathi , Alayamani – Aadmi, Shanthi – Gouri, Deivamagan acted by Mahmood were all utter flops. Likewise, MGR films remade into Hindi are Malaikallan – Azaad, Enga Veetu Pillai – Ram aur Shyam, Panakara Kudumbam – Hamjoli, Kavalkaran – Rakhwala, Periya Idathu Pen – Jawab, Nam Nadu – Apna Desh, Thai sollai thatathe & Vettaikaran – Janwar aur Insan were all Jubilee hits.

For these to whom to be blamed? It’s all people’s choice to like it or not.
